Before Buying a Laptop Computer, A Person should have Basic knowledge of his/her purposes after Buying laptop and 'how long will I'm going to use it' because technology is continuously been advancing at very high rate and will my upcoming laptop would survive according to needs in future. I think, A person should make an assumption of maximum 10 years before moving any step further. If you're still not sure, then, You're free to view 'the advancement of technology' in past two decades. A day was there in 90's when name of 'Internet' is limited to only few peoples in USA and Today, It is everywhere on earth. Okay, Let we come directly to point, Here are those 10 things that need to consider before purchasing any laptop computer.

Screen Size

Screen Size of Laptop matters because smaller screens doesn't support higher resolutions and leads to lack in experience plus feel and on other side, larger screen are prone to damage, disturbs the internet browsing experience (By showing extra spaces on both side of webpages), Uses Extra Battery power (Leads to shorter battery life) etc. . I'm using 14.1'' Screen size laptop and it's giving me the best experience which I need but Thoughts of people vary, So, I'll recommend you to choose either 14.1'' or which are nearly 15'' screen size laptop.

This is the most important thing that need to be checked before everything because laptops running on old processor will definitely make you cry from time to time. You should check whether the laptop you selected have built-in processor of latest Technology and from Experienced processor manufacturing company. The best Processor in market presently is Intel Core i7 980X with a price tag of $999 (Nearly double than that of average laptop's price) and below are some latest processors from intel you can opt for,

All the text, images and other data are going to store in Hard Drive, So, You Should check whether the Hard-drive is capable of storing at-least 160 GB of data in it. But, I think you should choose a laptop computer having a hard drive storage of at least 250 GB, So, You don't need to buy an external Hard drive to store extra data (Yes, You can Buy External Hard drive also and can attach it with any laptop via USB Ports).

RAM

Check that your selected laptop has at-least 2GB of RAM Memory/Storage and Higher is Much Better (4GB are also in the Market).

Battery Life

Check, If Battery has a continuous Life Span of at least 5-6 hours.

Graphic Card

A graphic Card of At least 256 Mb or 1GB is good for Good for Graphical programs and also for Playing Games. Some Games don't even start when not found a minimum required graphic card on system.

Operating System and It's CD (Wikipedia)

Check that your selected Laptop is supporting Latest Operating system and comes already installed in it. If it is, then, Company will definitely send you a CD of that operating system with delivery or you can ask it from dealers (If not provided to you). IF you will manually buy a CD of operating system, then, it will cost you nearly 150-300 dollars or nearly. The Latest Operating Systems in the market are,

1. Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 - By Microsoft
2. Mac OS X Lion - By Apple

IF all these features are found in your Laptop then you can do anything at any place with your Laptop Like Playing Games, Working with documents, Internet Browsing, Face to Face chatting, Facebooking, Orkutting, Stumbling, Learning etc.

Price Range - Your Budget

Now, it's the time to think about your budget, How much you can spend to get at least all this features. I think a Normal average Income person can spend upto 800-1000 dollars as per my experience.

Selecting a Company as per Requirements
